PLEASE HELP!! I'm a sucker... I like old school KISS trucks, so I bought an 26k gvw '88 MBZ 1117 (I've seen it referred to as a L1117 also) chip dump truck for my arborist business ten years ago. I brought the body back to beautiful, painted and lettered it. We get a lot of admirers and we love the attributes this truck offers, but we broke an axle shaft and I cannot find one. It's got numbers stamped into the end - 3440001 - and what looks like a crown and "LV" closeby. Nothing else... no Eaton, Dana, Splicer... nothing. It's got 38 splines; 16 holes (looks like 12 or 13 mm); length to inside flange 37.75” – length to outside flange 38.25”. Last 8 of the VIN are JN769779 Does anyone know where I might find this. Oh... the left and right sides are symmetrical, but the left side broke. I really need to get this back no the road. Thanks!!!

The 344 357 0001 number is interestingly similar with just an extra 357 in the middle of the number you posted.

I was just guessing as there are several L1117 trucks shown.

About 10 options.

Look up part number in EPC. Google number to see what suppliers come up. If no US suppliers, email Brazilian suppliers where truck was made. Translate email to Portuguese with web translator. Use PayPal to protect transaction.
