I think it's the flash and/or lighting that makes the blocker work.

hmm well - how do i know if it will block the shot from a traffic cam? I dont wanna go through a light just to try it out! lol. that would suck!

But - how do I immitate a cam ?like take it from 50 ft away to be like a real traffic cam?

You're gonna need the height of a cam too. But those have high speed shutters.

The way speed cameras work (I think)

Obviously a faster shutter speed will let in less light. Ok so open the aperture, which I think is why the speed cameras use a flash because the dont have a variable aperutre as the distance etc is always the same when the take the photo. thus to let the most light in they use a flash all the time. During the day you dont notice it because there is so much ambient light but at night it counts.

Like I say I thing thats how it works but I'm not sure.

Do what I do, I still have the dealer plates on mine (you know the paper plates when you buy a new car). I have been pulled over twice and I tell them its a used car from the new car dealership and they dont ask a second question. I have had my car for over 14 months and my real plates sit in the garage. The best part is I can never get a ticket that wasy and my car always looks new. I know you guys probably have personalized plates so that wont work.

Sprayed both front and rear plates on my car with that photo blocker and 3 weeks ago I got a ticket in the mail for doing 41mph in a 30 mph zone past a camera, so it didn't work for me. Now got two "Ontrack Super Protectors" on order and having read all the reveiws I wont get another ticket. Worst thing was I have a GPS based anti speed camera/laser warning device in the car but I took it out to update that day, nipped out to the store and forgot to refit it [:(] [:(]

Have also been informed by brother-in-law who is a cop, that all they have to do is reverse the negative and they can easely read the number. So don't trust photo blocker.

WOW! Did you get your money back on the photo blocker?? Also - that ONTRACK SUPER PROTECTORS.... what does that do? Works the same way?

What is the GPS Based anti speed camera laser warning device? Anything like the Valentine V1 Radar detector???

Reverse the negative? Like, look above at the first picture I took where the plates are totally not visible..... can anyone try to REVERSE that on photoshop? i mean, how do they do this?>??

Hi Chucky

The ontrack super protector is a cover which goes over your plates and when viewed from behind they look normal so the cops don't notice anything amis, but when viewed from the angle of a speed camera they go totally blank. All reviews that I have read give it a full thumbs up and even the police say it is the only one that works. check out this site http://www.buyradardetectors.com/Products/OnTrack/Super-Protector.aspx

The gps system I have is a U.K. origin B2 with a laser detector, a lidatek LE30 laser jammer and a radar detector fitted. It tells me when I am approching a speed camera by using a data base downloaded from the internet and GPS. The laser jammer jams all police laser guns for 5 seconds and hopefully you can slow down in time before he can get a lock on you. Radar detector is just in case some police are still using radar guns but these are pretty much obselete now. This is a U.K. site but a lot of information is relivant to the U.S. http://www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk/index.htm

As for reversing the negative the police can take the original negative from the camera and playing with contrast and color with a computer can easely reviel the numbers on your plate and no refund from photo blocker just a nice fine from the cops.

I have to On track protector on the rear plates of both my cars. seems to work, however I am not willing to speed pass a camera to try it out.

I have donated my share of monies to Washington DC government. Have not had a problem since the protector yet, but i have slowed down. They are into my pocket for estimated $440 for the year. all in 2 months.
