hello folks,
Im planning to get a w108 , i've seen two examples one is a 250s twin carb 1967 olumn shift manual tranny, non-power steering, and the other one is a 250s 1971 w/ same specs but w/ power steering, do i choose among these two or do i look for a 280se? i've heard that the carburators are problematic is this true? thanks you in advance

Dreb! Nabuhay ka!? nauna ka pa post dito than of MBCP (tampo)

Why not look at 280sl's 280se? That is one nice piece of machine. Wala ka na halos papagawa. Alam ko nga wala ka na nga papagawa. Eto pa, the unit is already located in Cebu!

Some pics of the said unit to ponder on:

future W108

There is a man I met named Joel G. Jimenez who has W108.
Quezon City 927-2044
I met him in San Diego last year.
He may have some advise.
Carburators or fuel injection are both good.
By the best body, paint, and interior.

Dreb, both carb & injction models are ok. While others say that the Zenith is a mechanics' nightmare, when push comes to shove there is always the Weber conversion. Likewise I did heard of some stories of FI nightmares like the 108 of corics before which stayed more in Central Calibration than he actually used it. It really depends on the condition where you're going to start but once its tuned (carbs or FI) it will be fun. There is also a Yahoo group dedicated for the 108/109.

Hi Brian, Joel is a friend & yes he does have a 108 & in addition to his stable he just acquired a 113 & a 111 covertible. His daily drive is his 124 260E & his wife uses a 210 wagon. He gave me your email since I made some visits in SoCal but didnt recieve any reply. He has wonderful stories during his visit with you, hope I can drop by when I have the chance.

hello everyone, thanks for all the replies, i gues il go for the 67 250s, the owner will give me carb repair kit for free, a pair of new tail lights, 2 headlamp chrome frames, 4pcs 1pc hub caps 14's(w123) , and 3pcs 2piece (oem) hub caps, i thinks its a good deal at 80,000pesos, what you think? running condition, all intact interior, paint is a little dull but no rust spots, 1st owned, blue on blue.

helo benzmizer i already saw that blue benz its formerly owned by cebu commercial motors, it was offered to me before for 150,000, i declined coz it was v8, now its being sold for 385,000. its definitely out of my budget, im on a 100t - 150t budget, and i prefer the unrestored and preserved condition rather than the modified or restored using non merc leather
