Returning to piston rings and related info, folks, I really need parts' info, so that I can correctly, and finally, complete my online order at AutohausAz:

1) 2230 STD numbered piston rings is all that's offered. However I'm mindful of discussion on this Board, and on Google searches, that if the cylinders actually need boreing and honing, then I'd need oversized rings. So what do I do -- still pick the standard sized ones? (The standards are listed as 96.5mm - 1.75x2.00x3.50mm.) My local MB parts dealer also only lists standard piston rings. No mention whatsoever of oversized.

2) Wrt the Connecting Rod Bearing Set, do I chose the standard size (48.00mm)?

The alternative is listed as 1st Oversize (+0.25mm) 47.75mm.

3) Wrt the Main Bearing Set -- do I chose standard (64.00mm)? Also, how many sets do I need?

The alternative is listed as 1st Oversize (+0.25mm) 63.75mm.

Cheers in advance,
RS

Long time mechanic Jerry likes Glyco for the piston rings, and thinks the later chrome moly rings autohausaz offers are too hard for our engines. OEM dealer parts for the main & rod bearings are with #'s and pics in my 'good news for me' thread. On my engines we went with standard size.
Cheers
