I am changing the stereo in my 2012 GL450 and would like to find the pinout diagram for the connectors. I have a rear entertainment system that I want to connect to it but can't find where the rear entertainment monitors get the video feed. The sound on the new system is a considerable upgrade (minus the fade capability, although fairly well distributed) and I love the phone connectivity now. Any help would be appreciated. The only other glaring negative is the TPM light saying inoperative. I intend to install aftermarket but I'm guessing it won't remove the factory light.

The most common failure mode for the TPMS is dead batteries in the wheel sensors. Normal life-span is 6-8 years.
Wally,
Thanks for the reply. I would lean that way as well, but it seemed to happen at the same time that I replaced the stereo. When I was t/s for a living the first thing I would ask people was “What was the last thing you changed?”
This could be a dead battery…but I am curious if a dead battery would effect the whole system or just the input from the wheel sensor that died. My current dash error says “Tire Pressure Monitor Inopperative” and dosen’t give data for any of the tires. Would one sensor fail cause the whole TPM system to fail?

Hello. One sensor would not cause your whole system to fail and by fail I mean not read correctly. Since you have no data and and the system is reading as TPMS inoperative, that means that the sensors are missing or they were damaged when you had work done or when they were moved from one rim to the other. I'd suggest you take it back to the shop where you had wheel work done and tell them to check the sensors.

New sensor go around 40-100$, for 4.

But, if you changed the stereo or the command unit, then that means that it's not supported in the stereo unit itself, and you'll have that light on constantly. Which stereo did you upgrade to? You might have to go with another brand, a brand that supports TPMS. GL.

No work was done with the tires yet, just the stereo (command 2.5) changed out. I am assuming that the MB stereo had the receiver for the factory TPMS or at least something to do with it because the dash message showed up after stereo replacement. I haven't been able to get a solid answer regarding i/o, accept the pinout's in my second post so... just moving forward and will look at using aftermarket TPMS and attempt to disable the factory TPMS at some point to remove the dash warning msg.
I went with a generic Android stereo, it works well so far and has a ton more functionality as far as audio/entertainment with a 9" touch screen. It also has options for ODBII, (aftermarket) TPMS, and a few other items connected through USB.

Hello. Post some pictures of the setup. Interested to see how it looks. GL.
