I was replacing my rebuilt cruise control amplifier when I found this 0085452028 pin bushing hanging down. I found it is to keep the blower motor from running till the water temperature is warm but I can't find where to plug it in. Any help appreciated.

I did find a picture of a oblong unit that looked like a radio amplifier with air vents in it but only 6 inches square where the plug fits in can you see anything like this? .Ony a guess .

Nope. That looks like it is from the Hall sensor (speed) multi connector above the steering column in the under dash area. They are single pole and supply speed signals to the climate control and radio. Easily dislodged.
The other place that connector is used is on the wiper/indicator stalk switch on a wagon. It turns the rear wiper on, if your front wipers are on, when you select reverse, (if you don't have a wagon) maybe someone used a wagon stalk on your car, which would work fine.

Right may be it is, but the plug is like it that goes inside
Still it is a bit of a hard task to find where parts go when the part number was given as 0085452028 and thats it in the list above .

I talked to my ex-Mercedes mechanic guru and I think 4Matic 300TE is correct in post #7 that it is from the speedometer. My mechanic said that it may be the connector that adjusts the radio volume according to the road speed. So say you come off the freeway into town and your speed reduces and your road noise is less it reduces the radio volume. Not a big deal if it is not connected but I will try and reconnect it to the back of the speedometer and see what happens.

As a reference /clarification
The only 'plug / pin connectors on the resistor (post #4) located under the the blower motor (at the firewall under the hood:
