Hi everyone. Yesterday I took some pictures of my black SLK 55. I'm not much of a photographer, and the car is not perfectly clean, but I reckon these pics will still be of interest to folks here. I also have a couple of pictures of my "D". [

Sure, I'd love to see pics. My DeLorean is also a 1981, and it has the older model features like the radio antenna in the windshield and the gas flip top on the hood. It does have an updated stereo with an MP3/CD headunit as well as a few other minor mods like tinted windows. The interior is completely reupholstered because the first owner didn't take good care of the car at all... I bet your DVD is sweet!I can get you pictures if you want, its an 81, I put exhaust on it and a dvd with 7" screen, any details on yours??!
It's like cleaning a stainless steel refrigerator as you guessed. Fingerprints show up big time, but cleaning is actually quite easy! I've used Windex with excellent results. The previous owner said you could brush it with a scouring pad to retouch the grain of the steel, but I haven't needed to do that. The car is actually pretty filthy in these pics because it has been sitting in my garage for quite some time.I have always wondered...how the heck to you maintain the outside of a delorean. Do you wax it? Or is it like a refrigerator and you brush it with a scouring pad?
It is the regular black. When clean and waxed, it has amazing gloss and a very deep shine. It looks incredible!can you tell me if that is metalic black or just the plain one?
DeLorean's are stainless steel and have NO paint.tiger_biru - 1/10/2005 10:31 PM
Hey that DeLorean seems amazing. Did they come in color other than silver?
Do you mean why did DeLorean design his car with an expensive stainless steel body? To be unique and extraordinary (plus you don't have to wax it[tiger_biru - 1/10/2005 11:14 PM
Oh wow.
Why they sell car like that? Yes I know the factory is gone but why?
