Some random shots from the desktop-
An '89 Military DOKA, but it looks like it has had the new nose added.
An Interesting Stretch cab with a tool box or access door on it.
a Pristine 417 with the Werner frame mounted winch and a large rear spragg.
Various Forestry UNIMOGS...no rhyme nor reason here, really.

P.4.
This lot shows an MBU with the Werner Forestry package mounted up, and then dismounted and stacked in the yard, waiting for somebody's wallet to come and rescue it.

You can see the full coverage skid pan in the one shot, with a bunch of pieces stacked on it, including what look like Heavy Duty brush guards for the headlights.

I love the winch on the green 417, anyone have any details on such an impressive attatchment? Might not be interested in the sprag but the winch is on my like list :)
Two pics after the pretty 417 there is a green square cab with the usual forestry stuff, except for the seat on the drivers side on the rear...WTF. Is this to make sure you get nailed when the cable snaps, kinda a German roulette??
I do not think it is a spare from the cab(doesn't make sense) and what kind of hardware would go on the rear that you have to mount a seat on?? (besides a backhoe/crane that have a designated seat attached ) Or is it just a place to enjoy your lunch on??

Tailgunner....

Actually , that seat might have to do with a loading
Crane that isn't there at the moment. There is a bollard
Type fitting at the rear as well as a fitting on the roof cage
That might be there as a seat for the boom. It's a guess,
But neither of those fittings regularly appear on other
SBU Forst Packages.
The seat would give a great view for winching logs,
* But it would be a lousy place to sit, as you point out.

The Werner winch is the Rahmen or frame mount,
Set up and is very nicely tucked away .The bed is
Jacked up a bit via extended feet to Provide clearance ,
But otherwise it just fits right in. They come up on EBay.de,
But not as often as the other types it seems.

Looks to be PTO driven in this shot, and some kind of reversing box:

Tailgunner.. Ha, would that be an MG-42 then? I have to say that the 417 is a damned pretty machine, and the winch/ rear bed set up is awesome. I wonder if there's a way to route cable to the front? Gotta love the trailer ball on the rear sprag also! Don't have to worry about leveling the tongue to the hitch anymore! How'd the ribs heal up Truktor? Well I hope.
I'm doing well, thanks. I still marvel at exactly how close
I came to checking out of the Hotel. Daily.
But, things are going well. No complaints.
I love threads like this!

The more pics the better!
