I currently use a Galaxy S5 that links very well with the car's Bluetooth system. It currently lies loose, so I am interested to hear what type of phone mounts work well for you guys. Thanks

Same here. At the moment I use a $2 rubber pad laying on the dash. Your question motivated me to see if the universal mount that Costco included with my phone will work anywhere that I like. It is a suction mount so I'm sure it would attach to the windshield.

That's where I am at, but there's times where I prefer to use Google Maps navigation over the MB system, so I want to mount it.

I am going to MacGyver a couple of approaches for window vs. dash mount to see which might work better for me. It will also let me compare the usability of the MB nav vs. Google on a longer trip to see if I really need to do this.

Simple stuff compared to ABC and brake problems, but I am sure that I will be asking for advice on those in the future.

I use a Garmin 3597 as a boost gauge, as well as advanced GPS, for things the stock GPS cannot do...

I couldnt find any spot around the center console where the Garmin can go without being an eye sore,

I finally decided to mount it on the left side of the dash, somewhere where I can easily reach the touch screen, be visible, and not impair outside visibility...

You can probably place a phone mount in the same spot...

I use a phone holder that fits in the CD slot. Pretty slick really.
I dont use CDs anyway. Finally a good use for the CD player.
TTtodd, what CD mount do you use? I have one I use for my E320 and my expedition but the base is too think for the SL. If I install it, it pushes a button or two on the top row and renders all the other command buttons useless because of this. I am looking for one that fits without interfering with the command buttons just below the CD slot.
