Just thought I'd start another Penta thread and create a little bit of jealousy by posting my refinished Penta Gen II's in midnight blue, just dispatched to me from Fast Forward.

Awesome! Those are SUPER polished huh? They'll look awesome. Midnight blue and Orient red are my two favorite colors as well and you have both .

First set was stolen off my SL while it was getting serviced in Brooklyn and the second set was stolen from another MB shop...go figure.

I loved them on my 560sl which was in burgendy with the color matched Pentas...

these ended up with polished rims; was looking to get them satin brushed, but they found the clearcoat bubbled because of little pits in the surface (due to the age of the wheels). looks good though.

Are the rims clearcoated over the polishing or left bare? May I inquire as to the cost to refinish each wheel? I am going to have my five Gen I's refinished exactly as yours (different color center, of course). You can PM me the details. Are the centers powder coated or painted?

Its about time some of the 'jealousy' buck passed your way. You still looking for Mahle's for the SE, or the wider-dish basketweaves (what was the exact specs of those, BTW?)

I wonder how the Gen2 Pentas would look in two pics, side by side to the one cascade posted above - Gen1 and Gen2.

The Gen2 Pentas are a hen's tooth, needle in the haystack type of thing. How'd you find those?
