Right side sill

I was quite right about the other sill being severely attacked by tin worms.

However only the bottom 2 centimeters of the sill was rotted out.
Unfortunately both the inner and outer sill was bad so I had to weld in the lower lip of the inner sill first.
It is not very comfortable to lay on your side to cut, grind and weld upwards with very little room between the car and the floor. Should have had a hoist to lift the entire car one and a half meters up :frown

Had a look inside the sill and it looked fine, could still see the yellow rust preventive stuff inside.

Put on some weld through primer and tacked the first part of the outer sill on.

What remains is the part going from here all the way to the rear wheelhouse.
Probably need to make two pieces to fix that.

Finishing the sill

Tacked in the 2nd piece of the sill and put weld through primer on the last piece to go in.

Then finished with 3rd piece and closed up between all tack welds.

Unfortunately I am very poor at welding upside down so this took me hours of welding, grinding, closing small holes and grinding again.

Now I need to put on primer, filler, body schutz and paint.

Exhaust pipe attachment

Since my rear exhaust pipe / muffler attachment was completely disintegrated and recycled into mother earth I decided to make a new.
Auto part Rust

I have no idea how it was meant to be so I just started out with two threaded holes in the frame and an approximate guess how it should be.

I purchased the rubber damper

And took a piece of heavy galvanized steel, the biggest hammer I have and made a 90 degree bend. I put my welder on the highest voltage and wire feed it would give and welded two 10 mm bolts on to the steel and it ended up like this.
Wood Rust Electrical wiring

Drilled two holes in it and attached to the frame and the exhaust pipe and suddenly I had a new exhaust pipe hanger.

It's not pretty, but it works.
