Hi just wondering if anyone here has noise caused by the passenger airbag frame fixed by putting felts in the frame on a 02+ G?

I have the infamous crickets noise in the dash likely caused by the airbag frame rubbing against other metal parts. I am just wondering if felting the frame will cure the noise and where should the felts go? Does the dash need to be removed in order to work on the frame? I hope not. I have removed the glove box and can see and feel the frame that is causing the noise but cannot pin point where the rubbing is.

Any insights will be appreciated!

Thanks!

I don't know much about interior sound dampening, but if it's vibrating i'd opt for leather over felt, because the felt could get worn through pretty quick
