Hello All;
has anyone repaired the air vents directional slider on the passenger side?
I have the 2 pieces and it appears that i need to behind the blades somehow.

thanks,

lucky you are!
my left and right are missing the back piece; in the duct work?
I ordered new(used ones)

somewhere here a guide for replacement said to pry up the cover strip above the speaker near the windshield, remove speaker cover screws, then the air vent screws, then lift up the air vent.

Maybe then you can get to the back of the slider --looks tight to me.

OTHERS MAY HAVE BETTER INFO.

Yes, you need to remove the speaker cover to access the screws for the vent.

ok just removed my driver side and the 68.105 step 3 is wrong.

after removing screw- lift speaker cover nearest window and pull toward the window-- not sideways toward middle of car per instructions.

there are two tabs at the bottom of the cover that slide under a retainer- I pried up per instructions and broke one-

I do have special plastic glue so no problem.

Same thing happened to me. Aged interior plastic parts are notorious for brittle and breakage and that's why I suggested the purchase of a left speaker grill p/n 12968001399115 for $22.70 w/ S&H from Parts.com. Up in price from $15.00 when I did this in five years ago.
