New to the Forum, pardon any repitition in my questions:

I recently re-acquired a W140 S600. Several years ago, I had one but let it go at the end of its warranty period. The new S-Klasse bodies haven't exactly filled me with awe, so when a chance came up to purchase a 1999 version, I decided I really missed the old one I had and plunged in.

I decided at the price I paid, I could afford the upkeep.

But I'm curious about the availability of parts for a 10-year old Benz. Are there any problems or items I might want to 'stock up' on for the future? Most car companies start phasing out older models to support the newer ones, so as a result, parts stop being available at about the 10-year point. Is M-B similar?

Mercedes-Benz stocks parts for ALL cars produced. The classic center will even MAKE you a part if they can't get one for a pre WWII car!

Hey, Thanks! That's reassuring! And it sure makes owning an older Benz a worthwhile endeavor!
