Hey guys,

I'm parting out this 500SEC with some AMG bits. Everything is up for grabs. It runs and shifts great. Things will be hitting ebay within the next couple of weeks unless spoken for.

It has orginal AMG Penta's spec'ed for the w126 but they are the 15 x 7 version. They'll be for sale as well but I want to verify the condition first.

Sure. The burl is dark but has cracks, not in the greatest condition.

I know you said you were only interested in this car for the wheels, but out of curiosity I wanted to ask what the 'tipping point' was that made you decide to part it out - rather than sell a running whole (mebbe minus the pentas)??. Was it because of the salvage/rebuilt title, better profit as parts, or ??

Exactly. I wanted to keep the Penta's, put on some bundt's, and pass it on. But now...

Honestly, I don't think that I could get what I paid if I sold the car as a whole. In conjunction to the high mileage and and rebuilt salvage title, the car is just beat and molested. The idea is to get my money back, maybe for the time and expense as well. I'm still very disappointed the wheels aren't the 16 in. Penta's
