I am having trouble finding the part number for the seal that fits around the sunroof opening between roof and glass.

I have epc, but not sure if part 11 in diagram, A2107800098 is the correct number.

Yes the manual I have for M-Benz E-Class 1996-99 has that same part number. The cost from the dealer would have been $71.00 and a half hour to install.

I believe the part number is 210 780 00 98.

I would call Stateline Auto--800 849 2765---they are very competitive and over fifty bucks ships free.

Have a good holiday.

Thanks for the confirmation guys. Hope you are enjoying your holiday.

Unfortunately, being in Canada, the price will probably be a LOT higher. The sunroof cables were $80.xx vs about $44 or less in USA and $28.xx and one place. But as usual, I need the seal yesterday :(

Car is going in next week for some rust spots around sunroof and we have to remove the old seal first. May be able to re-use it though.

Hopefully the old one will still work. Not sure where else other than the dealer you can find that. I tried autohausaz and ebay and none for the W210. Rust on the roof mmm, I have rust everywhere but on the roof lol.

There is a up side and rear side, check the position before installing. I had some rust spots refinished and had them install a new seal, and they screwed it up. Install the corners first and then the rest. The idiots worked it around and then cut it because of the excess, I made then buy me a new one and installed it myself. NO CUTS

Thanks for the tip! I will probably have them put the old one back, and then if it doesn't look right, get a new one and install it myself. It's an expensive piece of rubber to screw up!

BTW, several of the on-line MB parts suppliers don't list this part.

Does the seal simply press into place?

Another post mentioned having to remove the sunroof and the headliner to replace the seal.

Thanks
