Thanks, that's about as far as I got too. Found the rear ones but not the V8 on the side. Btw it is not on the door, it is between the door and the frond fender, on the subframe it looks like.

Replicas are not an option for me unfortunately.

Thanks for your effort, appreciate it! Unfortunately it is not the correct one, I need the one with the underlining on the V8 from earlier models, see photo below. Come to think of it, the W463 500GE from 93/94 might be the only car that used this badge? Can't really think of any others, the W126 500/560 or the W140 didn't have these badges as far as I know. Bit of a mystery this one..

It should be the same style as the rear 500GE emblem, HWA4638170015:

I checked another source. It seems that vin# you provided is absent on a few MB online sources.
The 500GE shows no V8 badging in all the sources Ive looked thru. Odd.

More you can look thru, these are all 500Gs though
(I did not see any with V8 badging with underlining)

Nop. So this is a mystery. I am beginning to think it will be very hard to find this part anywhere.

I found a VIN for a euro market 500GE, and used an online copy EPC- looks like the original part number was 1248174215 superseded by 4638171415. But... sure looks like the non underlined V8 badge on the G500.

What's weird is I'm not familiar with any 124 V8 badging. 400E, 500E didn't have the badge to my knowledge.

Also, I looked at badging using the VIN on my G500, it lists the V8 without the underline, same part number as above- so I don't think you want 4638171415
