Went to my local lube joint to have them top off the oil, transmission, and steering pump. The monkey somehow manages to break the handle off my dipstick.

Trying to get one from the online dealerships says that it is no longer available.

It's the blue handled one, and I've lost the paper with the part# on it. I'll have to look it up again.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a source?

Thanks,
Scott

First I'd check the classic center to confirm it really is NLA.
If it was, I'd beg and whine until Rowdie sent you one from his collection.:D

I can't really imagine it would be that difficult to find from a salvage yard or even from eBay.

Have access to EPC? If not post your VIN and I'll look it up.

Looks like the 117.982 calls for a 116 010 09 72

Thanks, that's the number. I recognize it now.

I can get into the EPC, but to do so I have to reboot the computer at home into Widows, instead of Linux.

I've been doing some long hours and road trips recently. We lost one of the three guys on my crew a few weeks ago, so the rest of us are spread a bit thin.

Thanks,
Scott
