My cruise control amp is shot, cuts in and out, and it is not the origional (orange)#0035450932.It was replaces with #0235452132 (black)and uses a resistor #0075451232, one pin is disconnected as it should be.My question is- do I have to replace it with the exact same part number or are there a series of numbers I can use and what are they? How do I find out?( I'd like to shop e-bay) I read the new amps are the same only the resister changes. Thanks

I'm really not sure about the inernal changes over time, but here is what the EPC has to say.

If I am reading the chart correctly will a #005 545 05 32 amp work?It seems to have been in the replacement series. I would use my resister of course.

Joathan or Anyone that can help. How do you read the"EPC" chart. It seems my 003 545 09 32 was replaced by 005 545 05 32 and finally the 023 545 21 32 I have now. Of course none of the ones on e-bay have the same numbers. How can I tell if one of the same vintage will work? Whick numbers have to match up? For example will 023 545 21 32 work? Thanks Hal
