Hello !

I own an ML 420 CDI 2007

Since ~ 2 days ago, after I've washed my car, my front right parking sensor line is going from "nothing to red bip, and back to nothing" suddenly when I drive.

It's very annoying and random ~ once at 3 minutes...

I've checked the sensors and there is nothing visually wrong :(

Ideeas ?

Try resetting by turning if off then on in the console (parktronic button):)

That was the first thing I've tried.. No results
:confused::confused:
Another possible problem source is caused by an external source of radio or ultrasound waves.
If you continue to have this problem, may need to bring it to the dealer or to a qualified technician

I'll go to the dealer soon.
It cannot be a source of radiation. It's only on the right side :)

Assuming that there is no dirt on the sensor, it could be a bad/dirty connection or simply a bad sensor. I've had that problem on an S-Class before. Your dealer would best be able to diagnose this.

My ML had the same problem with the rear parking sensors, my dealer replaced the faulty sensor and rear parking display under warranty.

The fault appeared in the error log which they can call up.

It seems that the faulty sensor was hit by a stone. It had a small mark on it...
I've replaced the sensor and I have no problems now.

How did you replace the sensor on an 05 - C220CDi Sport?

How did you replace the sensor?

I have an 05 - C220 CDi Sport and have the same problem encountered by yourself.

Your help here would me much appreciated.

Thanks
Jas

What is the diff between a 420 and a 320? I can not find any 420's in my state, and this is the first time i have heard of them before the 2010 model.
