According to the manual, the second step for removing the parking and standing lamp bulb is "Pull out the bulb socket [5] with the bulb." (Page 394)

I can't, for the life of me, pull out the socket!!! Iv'e tried pulling, pinching, prying, and every permutation between.

Is there a trick?

Thanks!

Assuming you actually are trying to remove the standing lamp -- there are two bulbs in that fixture, one is the high-beam and the other the standing lamp and sometimes people get confused -- then you need to twist the socket counterclockwise about 90 degrees or so. Then it will "unlock" and you can pull it out.

Good luck.

The standing / parking lamp has burned out, so I just want to replace the bulb. I can very easily access the high beam bulb... but I think my fingers must be too short to twist the standing / parking bulb socket with any degree of usable torque. I honestly can't seem to be able to twist the thing... just can't get a good grip :-(
