I have a 92 300 SL, green with parchment interior. The driver's entry-side seat bolster shows some wear and cracking after all these years despite regular treatment--- eventually, I'll need to replace the seat cover or at minimum the panel. but in the interim it appears that the use of interior paint/dye would disguise the wear.
Two questions: has anyone tried this approach and if so, please suggest a source for the interior parchment paint/dye?
Thanks

Actually, Mercedes sells the dyes for the various colors of their interiors. You may want to check with your parts department. If your parts person responds with "they don't sell that", try someone else. It's in the EPC under "materials". (Ask if he/she knows that Mercedes also sells touch up paint in spray cans... if not, you'll need a more knowledgeable person or someone willing to search through the parts lists.)
