While my seats are out of my 560SL getting new cushions and leather I painted the seat rails and seat belt brackets.

I should have the new leather installed by Monday.

Looks great. I actually stripped the paint and polished the rails and clear coated. I was going to paint black but after I stripped them to repaint I like how it looked. Won’t be hard to take them original later. I didn’t do the seat belt brackets. Which I now regret and will probably do.

Wow! At some point I'll be pulling the seats on my w126 to rebuild the seat bottoms' springs. I gotta say, it never occurred to me to do this. But those look good. I may follow your lead. Thanks!
