I have a 1962 MB W111 220SEb and I wanted to find out if my car has been repainted. The identification plate states : DB 737

I have searched online for MB/DB paint charts and it came up with Classic White, used 1975 - 1985. So I was wondering if this information is correct.

If it has been repainted, where can I find the original paint code on the vehicle?

Please take a pic of the plate and post it, or post the data plate in the proper order and sequence. The paint code should have a G or H after it.

Earlier cars may have the data plate in a different place, the radiator support, that later cars like mine.

This is the only plate i can find with information about the paint code. This is located beside the bonnet lock. I do not see a G or H after it though.
