Hopefully someone can help me with this. My 07 s550 is doing the weirdest thing! It cranks without any problem. But when I start to drive it'll go a small distance . Then, out of nowhere it'll stay Crunk but won't accelerate. I have to turn the car off and on several times before it'll move. Code P0563 was tripped with the check engine light. Mechanic said it was the battery. Changed the battery, drove ok for an hour, then the same thing happened again. The car isn't drivable like this. Anyone have any idea what it could be?

When replacing battery were all stored codes erased.

I changed the battery. I'm assuming the alternator is next. But! When the mechanic checked the alternator he said it was fine. I inspected the belt with the car running and it is making contact with all components. I'm trying to avoid sending it to Mercedes. I get robbed every time I do that.

The starter battery was replaced 2 months ago. The battery in the trunk was changed 2 days ago.

Need to scan it with DAS or equivalent and look at actual values.
Alternator not putting out enough or there is parasitic current draw that kills systems (trunk) battery.
