I cleaned the throttle body of my 1997 c280 sport and the car feels great but my check engine light came on and I got it checked at advanced auto parts the code that came out was P0507 (Idle Control System RPM Higher Than Expected). Some times my car RPM would go on 1500 when I put it in neutral at a stop light. does anyone have any clues of how to fix this or what the problem might be. I guess the saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it" is right after all.

I have this same problem a couple of weeks after removing the intake manifold for a head gasket change. Just wondering what you found out about it.

the only think that i had to do is disconnect the throttle body cable and I think that resets the throttle body. I haven't had any issues since.
