Hello,

i have a problem with my Mercedes GLK 2013 (X204) 220 CDI 4-matic 103 KW, when i drive normally and i press the gas pedal to overtake the front car, the fault engine light goes on and the car goes in limp mode.

i checked the errors and what i get is P0088FC The fuel pressure in the system is too high (attached image).

What can be the problem? Hopefully somebody can help me.

Manky thanks.

Is that the only code, or are there others as well?

Attached is some info on the fuel system and limp home mode. I don't know much about diesels, but it appears there is a pressure sensor on the fuel rail, as well as in/near the fuel filter. There is also a test port on the fuel rail that you can attach a pressure gauge on. I would do that first, as then you will know if the "too high" reading from the sensors is real or imagined.
