I have been having problems with warm start so as steps to fix it - i had bought and OVP relay. Well with 70 degree today I went ahead and replaced.

When I removed the battery - I found that my battery tray was rusted - so I wnet ahead and fixed it anyways...

I'm surprised MB still made battery trays from metal. Over the years I've had a number of battery trays dissolve from rust. So for every metal battery tray I own, I now grit-blast the rust and paint with a rubberized paint (the dip-type advertised for tool handles) to seal out the elements. Somehow, regular paint just doesn't do it.

You call that rust? Ha!!! That's nothing. I only WISH that the tray out of my 88 TE looked even half as good as that. Here's what was left of the tray from my TE:

Now THAT is a rusty battery tray. The retaining nuts at the rear were reduced in size so severly that I had to use a Vise-Grips to remove them.

That's what happened when the wealthy previous owner did absolutely no cosmetic maintenance to the car for 15 years. And it sat outside. Under a tree. Unless the hired babysitter used it to take/pickup the kids from school. Must be nice...

that OVP will most likely NOT cure your hot start problem. also, from what i have read those like you have pictured are an old style with issues. do a search on user mountainredneck. you will see a link labeled problem solved!! read it. i wish you luck, i have been there done that. it is frustrating.
