i can't really tell who it is but it's not outkast. if it was outkast then it would only be Big Boi rapping or singing it because Andre 3000 has a distinctive way of rapping and has a really distinctive voice.

I HATE rap, but I must admit that I played the trailer 3 times! Sure sounds like OUTKAST to me, as well or a good rip-off of OUTKAST. A pity that they didn't include an SEC in the film. Anyone notice those old headlight wipers?

I hate and despise rap or hip-hop or whatever the hell it is (I just turn the sound off) and I’ve never heard of ‘outcast’ but I fail to understand why no 126s were in the trailer, an SEC or sedan. [!]Perhaps they were too ‘modern’ and would throw the chronology off. []

I love, live, and breath hip hop, have just completed my new CD, and just finished my first book, a supplement and collection of memiors pertaining to my hip hop career since 1987 to date. Also just finshed producing my own promotional trailer. (Now if I could ONLY getter one of those Maybach rapper-mobiles like all the other dumb thug-rapper-scum[8D]).

Now, with that said, even I can't bear to play it back with the sound on again. Not with thAt song as the background for that AWESOME video. No, that is NOT Outcast, they would have been 10xs more orignal than that tired hook at this point in their careers, but I agree the guy does sound like Andre. However, you must realized that their sound and twang represents MOST of the Atlanta sound. Outcast didn't INVENT the sound, they are just the most famous ambassadors from the area to the masses. Outside of that guy vocal tone sounding just like Dre's, 50% of the rappers from the ATL sound like that. 40% sound "crunk",

As for the W126, yeah, that is odd, however, the chronology was pretty lose there at times.

It’s not a matter of one’s favorite model but one of what model was the most important from an historical standpoint - DCX must have some kind of problem with the w126, I don’t know what it is – in the ‘I love Mercedes’ campaign about a year ago no 126 was featured. DCX is running a commercial now in the US introducing a new ‘four door coupe,’ in that it is the most recent addition to a great tradition of MB coupes and there is NO SEC! [:0][!][] They go from what appears to be a w111 coupe – the images move quickly, so I can’t be sure - to a w124 300 CE. I even wrote MBUSA to complain about the gross oversight with the ‘I love Mercedes’ promotion, to no avail, needless to say.

The song from Outkast called "prototype" is an excellent song by the way and doesnt sound "hip hoppy" at all.

I do like Hip Hop though, not my total fave but I can say I do like it.

No, there was a W126 sedan. You must've just missed it.

The yellow sedan doing the barrel roll towards the camera. That was a W126.

That doesn’t count, you can hardly see it, the SE covered in grime in a cloud of dirt doesn’t count, either.
