I don't wish to drive any other vehicles then the w126s unless I have to? Although at times I do drive my Company's Pacifica (I own the company) or I drive the wifes C70 Volvo to the car wash but(just in the winter time) attached are photos of my rides.

Thanks for asking

Just my 560SEL. Occasionally I drive my wife's Bimmer but not very often. I had a S500 coupe(W140)before but I sold it a year ago.

Haven't driven much other than my front wheel drive Honda, as the weather in Chicago has been brutal. Several days ago it got into the 40's, so I stretched the Ferrari's legs a bit. Yesterday, more snow, rain and sleet....

My '91 Subaru wagon is my daily. I bought it 8 years ago with 112,000 miles. It now has 244,000. Still runs like a champ.

My SD is one of my toys. Only comes out in the summer. Did a few mods and it runs REALLY good.

I also have a '67 VW Empi Imp. It is a fiberglass body dune buggy on a shortened '67 beetle chassis. Rebuilt motor to 1641cc dual port. FUN AS HELL!! Only a summertime car as it has no top.

I also have the following bikes:
1993 Ducati 900ss (wheelie machine from hell)
1979 yamaha RD400 Daytona Special (last year for the rare beast)
1979 Kawasaki KZ650 (little brother to the Z1)
1986 Kawasaki KX 250 (mint condition, never ringed and only on the 2nd rear tire)
1976? Kawasaki KV75 (my second bike I ever owned)

MBGary,
nice wheel, specially those on the W126. I really love them.
What size and offset are they? What do you do with your suspension?
Thanks.

Good Morning RNMB Happy Easter

The alloys on my coupe are the original MB Euro 17" solids. On the SEL I believe they were the original 17" Euro AMG option, they are a polished 3 piece alloy. I was told the list price was $2,000.00 US each. They do need re-finishing due to the former owner banging curves. I have a quote of $500.00. I was thinking of puting them on the coupe. and pick up a grey market set as a replacement.
PS. If you live in Canada the SEL is for Sale real pricey though. There was no offset required as far as I know. As to the suspension their both Euro, the low profile tires give the lowered appearance specially on the coupe with the MB skirt kit.

Roadworthy: Diesel W126 + Gas W126. Both six-cylinder 3.0 liter.

That's it. No more. I sold off my W210 E420, my 350SD is awaiting an internal teardown, and the 560SL I had long ago sold for a healthy sum.

I am still plenty content with all three W126's. I need no other cars.

Aside from my w126 300SDL, I drive a '99 C230K. This is my toy.

Hopefully, I'll be able to acquire my Dad's '84 190D 2.2 5spd. It only has about 130k miles. He's not using it at the present time.

Love my Benz'...

Other than my 560 SEC, i drive a ML320 and the family's LS430. The ML320 feels surprisingly fast, and i love the feeling of not having to worry about curbs, potholes, hondas, etc...

Know what you mean by the suprisingly fast feeling. The takeoffs are much more forceful feeling than my other cars if you have your foot halfway into the pedal or more. I think this is because nearly 5000lbs is rocked back and then slung forward so it feels fast. But obviously these vehicles are not fast by any means. 0-60 in about 9.5 if I remember correctly. Plus I've got chrome 18" AMG's and 285/55 tires, one size taller than recommended by AMG. The 50 series tires just look like they would have no offroad capability whatsoever. Don't have any family stable pics but will soon. Other cars are 2000 Brill Silver ML320 for mom & son, and the daily driver, a 1989 Pearl Black 300E.

I drive my 420SEL on a daily basis. When I need parts for the 420 - or if its just a nice weekend day - I'll drive my '89 560SL just for a kick in the pants. If they're both in the shop, or dirty, or whatever, I'm forced to drive my wife's '99 Buick - which I do NOT like. The darn thing doesn't even ride as well as my SL.

I've driven several late-model American cars recently, and I must say I am impressed by the capabilities. They are actually becoming nice cars again-- but they still don't stack up to a 16- or 18-year-old Benz.

I guess when you take world-class engineering, add top-notch styling, and then build the thing like a tank, you end up with a classic... or, for those who define "classic" as having something to do with model year, a "soon-to-be classic".
