Went to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway today expecting to see a championship battle, Danica Patrick's last race and an overall great day of racing. Instead we lost Indy 500 winner Dan Wheldon in a horrible multi-car crash. God Speed Dan....

I was watching. Horrific crash. Knew it wasn't going to be good news.
RIP Dan.

Awful, just scary awful. Just too fast. The irony is that he tested the new version of the Indy car for next year and raved about it's safety features.

I agree...they were hitting 225 mph on a 1.5 mile track. Those are Indy 500 speeds.
