Lucky fellows, I "wanted " one ( but didn't really need it) but Swmbo would have killed me as I've just finished re organising my garage to allow 2 cars instead of only the 107 .
As of about 3 weeks ago and after, well, forever, I have all my vehicles garaged!!!!!!!!!!

However, I won't guarantee how long this will last. :devil

It pains me to agree with the above and also admit to owning a few HF tools... The problem for me is that every tool I buy put money in the coffers of the Chinese Military. I can't stop the tide! Right? I try, when I can to buy goods not made in China, I usually have to pay more.... Hopefully some manufacturers will come back State side and still be affordable... Somehow I doubt it.

I managed to squeeze all four in (just barely) when I left for Italy last month. Couldn’t live with it everyday but it works in a no-use storage situation.:grin

Barely squeeze? Based on your snapshots there is room for at least two motorbikes with existing shelving, two dumpsters and a park bench along with the four now there. You have a potential six car set up!!

I wish!! A couple of motorbike size objects could go in nicely. Also, the dumpsters and park bench are outside when I am at home. Still can’t quite get two vehicles side by side in either bay without eliminating shelving and workbenches. Studying (dreaming) of an adjoining room addition for this “stuff” or a separate detached garage. :dunno:

My brother-in-law developed a working protocol for determining how much garage space (shelving) needs to be allocated for storage in the garage... keep in mind we live on Long Island in New York.

For every object vying for storage space in the garage, ask yourself the following question... "Would I pay to ship this _________ (fill in the blank) to California"? If the answer is no then you don't need to accommodate storage space for that object... toss it.

Simple but effective.

Thanks for that. So I'm visiting Monterey next week and I look forward to seeing the huge garages with Amazon warehouse capacity shelving.

I have learned to pass on anything that needs to be sharp...blades and bits.
Their ratchets have come a long way, I've put cheater bars on 3/8" and 1/2" drive pieces without breaking them. This is in comparison to the earlier ones that I could strip by hand.
Jacks are fine as are jackstands.
Stay away from anything battery powered, too. I picked up Milwaukee battery powered impacts last year during Home Depot's daily deals near Christmas. Amazing power and battery life.

I've taken to calling them Hazard Fraught but use a lot of their stuff with few complaints.

The worst is their cheap Pittsburgh crescent wrenches. Put it on a nut or bolt, turn it and the wrench tightens itself to the point where it won't slide off. I used a couple but had to crawl out from underneath what I was working on to get something to knock the wrench off of the bolt. Both now reside on the roof of my shop.
They do make good gifts to people you don't like, though...

I finally made it to the famous Harbor Freight.

I didn't NEED anything.....but walked out with a full motion TV wall mount capable of a 80 inch TV.

First buy for the upcoming lake house.

I use their wooden furniture movers with casters for spare engine blocks, so I had to pick up a few today.
I was really surprised to see that they have a gizmo for suspending the engine - supported on fenders at hood ledge - while lowering the subframe to give easier access to replace bushings. $75 isn't a bad price at all, and the 20% coupon will make it even more affordable. There are now 2 107's in my stable that both need new bushings, looks like I'll be making yet another purchase at my local Hazard Fraught.

I buy a lot of things at HF. I have one of those $89 welders, of course adding a capacitor and resistor made it MUCH better so I have maybe $100 in it. I buy a lot of the hand tools and have bought Bauer 20 volt drill/drivers for both houses. I used one to drive in deck screws all day and it never had an issue. Worked better than my older Ryobi driver.
I was just there Saturday to get a 8000 pound ratchet winch
which I used to pull out tree stumps!

I like the sockets and screwdrivers too.
I also bought the HVLP paint sprayer kit
I used to paint BH there for under $100 on sale

Just FYI, I have had more than one of the HF winches come apart at the spool. Now I pull the cable all the way out and tack them together with my welder, haven't had that problem since I started doing it this way.
good to know...

Oh I forgot, I also have one of their 1000 lb chain hoists for lifting the hard top off the car!
Over kill, but I have also used it to lift up a storm drain cover when my dipshit neighbor kid DROPPED HIS CELLPHONE down the storm drain!

Their stuff has greatly improved, and they continue to make niche products for the blue collar guy....

Most of my tools are HF, and not ashamed, yet I do own a $300 Matco Snap-Ring Plier set as the HF were just total junk. The old HF set of five-years ago was pure junk for any kind of transmission work.

In the old HF days. They did carry Devilbiss Compressors that were made in the USA-All American parts. Those just last and last and last.. I got me one of those 15 years ago(from HF). Sears did sell that same models too as in the 80's I painted cars with the one my father bought, and my father still has it, and it works just fine too...

Their stuff is great..

I have an electric winch that I need to install to use for pulling the tops. I was going to mount it on a trolley but can save a lot of room by mounting it directly to a brace on the ceiling. I don't like the idea of having it suspended anyway, we keep the tops on rolling dollies. I may build high shelves for them since I now know that they're pretty stable when stored flat.
