I was fortunate to be able to spend three days at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) convention in Vegas. LOTS of toys - 3D TVs and monitors, new computers, cell phones of all types and descriptions, etc. etc. etc.

I found one item that was worth my hard earned dollars! Yep, a shiny red Ford GT wireless mouse! The hood/fender area is divided into two segments, left button and right button, with a roller wheel in the middle. Press a button and that headlight illuminates. Geeky as it can be and a really cool model!

Of COURSE I asked about MB's but they're into American iron and there were a couple of prototype Lambo mice (which weren't for sale) but I did get the GT. It was the last red one they had and it was the demo on the table, but I got it.

Well I have known you and Gail for ...ummm. about 10+ years -- the San Francisco days, and if anyone can make a square peg fit into a round hole, it's YOU -- to wit, your Frankenbenz caper --- the latest one, and surely the most ambitious one..

You are a "can-do" guy. Always have been.

So......What size of model could be taken apart? 1/35" or 1/43" scale?

I can get you a 1/35" NZG 380SEL gray sedan model, that I already have, in the house, but may not have a spare 1/43" Minichamps/Paul's model art one easily at hand. I did save the collection from San Francisco, so it is here somewhere....

They are both well detailed and from Germany, but Paul's are assembled by chinese commie 7 year olds that get paid 6 cents a year; but they come out real nicely assembled and painted.


I would love to go to the SEMA show this coming winter. You sure are lucky to be so close to it...
