eBay or salvage yards...the caveat of using eBay is that many of the units are stolen from saps like you and me. I bought a stolen one and the seller was never heard from again. The credit card company was nice enough to give me full credit for the transaction because the seller's bank couldn't even get a hold of him.j_dawg_85 - 1/27/2005 9:39 PM
Hey guys,
I want to order the nav unit for my 2000 ML off the net. Do you have ideas where i can get it??
John
Long story...but I ended up reselling it on eBay and the buyer had a friend who looked up the serial number. The buyer didn't care but thought I'd like to know about it. I ended refunding him some $$$ for the trouble and after contesting the charge against the phanton seller, the CC company gave me a full refund. At the end of the day, I ended up with a few hundred extra $$$, enough to cover my inconvenience. Wasn't really worth the hassle though, so beware when buying on eBay.j_dawg_85 - 1/31/2005 11:35 AM
But if they claim that the radio code is included....is it an issue? Where did you run into problems and how did you know it was stolen?
