I haven't been on here for a while since my 2014 E350C4 has been nothing but a joy to own and drive. So maybe it's the cabin fever imposed by COVID or the search for my rapidly disappearing youth, but I have an opportunity to acquire the aforementioned vehicle. But not just a 2107 AMG C673s coupe, but an Edition 1 model.

Edition 1, as I understand it, was a special trim option, with only 370 made worldwide and only 87 in North America. It's finished in Designo Selenite Grey Magno (Matte Finish) with yellow striping and diamond side panel accents, and yellow stitching on the seats, upgraded sound system, ceramic brakes, and the rest. Below is a representative photo.

I'm looking for feedback from people who've had one, or the C63s in general. It's smaller than my E-class coupe, but 99.9% of the time I'm the only occupant, and I'm standard height (5'10") so I don't think it crampy. I could be wrong.

Thoughts?

Both beautiful cars but all I could say is your going from a limo to a race car. Your going to loose some comfort but you’ll get to where your going quicker.

Well... it isn't the first time I changed direction at the last minute, but I did it again. First, I checked out a 2020 C63s locally. Black / Black (same as my current E350C4). What an awesome rumble when it starts, and roar with a little goosing. What's not to love?

But I found the best of both worlds while looking: A 2020 AMG E53 Coupe 4Matic. designo Cardinal Red over designo
Black/Titanium Grey Pearl Nappa Leather. And $20,000 of upgrades. So I lose about 80hp and that lovely roar, but the E has an exhaust and what Mercedes called "Emotive Ignition" which puts out a pretty good growl from a turbocharged six!

I had to travel 200 miles to get it, but that means I also got to learn a lot about on the drive home. It's now sitting in my garage, and I'm a happy camper! Oh yeah, pics. A lousy, spur-of-the-moment phone pic as I was heading into an office building this evening.

Well done I think that’s a perfect compromise. What a beautiful looking car. With the AWD 4matic it will get up and go as quick as a 63.

Well... I don't know about that, but there is some pretty cool technology in this car, including EQ Boost, which Mercedes says adds about 21hp and eliminates belts and hoses, making the car even more efficient as well as powerful. I'm sure the published specs already take this into consideration, but in Sport+ mode, this car behaves like a beast. In Comfort mode, it's almost like Grandma's car... :)
