I was looking for good set of rims locally so I can use for next summer. I hate the stock 8 spoke rims and 18'-19's are the biggest I will ever go on this car.
I ran across this set of rims but I need to know if they are too big for my 500.

The price is $650 with tires and are staggered. Tires have lots of meat left

Front 245\40 R19
Rear 265\40 R19
I don't know the offset yet.

Wheels came off a 300zx and are on a '04 CTS
They are 5x114.4 (I think) the benz is 5x112 but i think I can get away with wobble nuts. Need Input on this from someone who has done this before.

I plan to lower the car just to fill the big gaps, with H&R springs and maybe thinner shims(depends how it will look with the wheels)
Since my car is going to be up on the stands for the whole winter I will have a lot of time for modding around for a more aggressive VIP look. I am on stock bumpers and DO NOT plan on getting a body kit. I just need better rims than the ugly 8 spoke and maybe lower it a bit. I was planning to look for the stock 18-19 Benz rims, but these seem to be some beautiful rims. Especially with the wide lip

Would like to see if anyone has tried 265 width in the back and how it looks.

Check out this link. You can get some aftermarket's for pretty inexpensive.

Mercedes Benz Parts & Accessories - Mercedes 5 Spoke Rims
Thanks for the website..I will see how this sale turns out to be.
I found some more information, the wheels are TSW Thruxton and are close to 2k just the rims. Gun metal color with Chrome lip known to be used on 350Z's, Infiniti G35's and some GTO's.

They are:
Front 19.8 5x114.3 Offset either 20 or 35
Rear 19.95 5x114.3 Offset either 20 or 35

I need to know if using adapters or drilling will be okay to be used on this offsets. I think the w140 uses a 51 offset?

How do I measure the offset if I go and take a look at these rims? Anyone?

Same rims on this Supra

just wanted to give a quick update.. I got those rims for even cheaper, The rims that were on this websites are really nice but I didn't find any 18's or 19's. Here are some pictures.
Good part:

I got them for real cheap:
Staggered 19's TSW Thruxton light aluminum rims.
245/40 19R Front- The front came out perfect, no rubbing when turning (will post pictures with the rims on later)
265/30 19R Rear...Rear has a big gap between the fender the tires which I didn't like but I am thinking to lower the car 1' or so next summer.
As far as width, it was the most beautiful thing looking at, especially from the back.

Bad:
Some curb rash on the passenger side front rim
They are 5x114 instead of 5x112 (They rims hardly fit but I was not feeling okay about it). I might have to send them in to redrill them.
They are light aluminum, and I don't know how strong they are.
Tires are 93Y load ratio, and I think i have 95-98Y on the stock Michelin's. Not sure if that makes a big difference

That's what I'm worried about. I can always sell the wheels for double as much, but I have to still test drive them. These wheels come in 5x114 or 5x112..These are known on BMW M3's (5x112's) Z350's, and Gto's..the one i got are from 300zx , 5x114's and need to be re drilled a bit bigger or use wobble nuts which I'm not a fan off.

I contacted the guy who had them on a supra, (supras weight appx 1500 kg vs 1900-2000 kg S500) and he said he didn't have any problems with them.

I've had 20" TSW's on my S500 for about 2 years now. I commute about 24K a year and I'm still alive and breathing!!
Car is on 1-1/2" lowering springs, 245/35/20" (for the fronts) and 275/30/20" (for the rears) Falken FK452 tires.
I've had zero issues with these wheels and the ride is fine. If it wasn't they would have been sold already.

My car looked just like yours on the front with the 19's and stock shocks. The back however, on 265/30's was too much space between the tire and fender. The lip on the back looks the same as on my rear rims as well.

Did you mess with the SLS in theback at all or just installed the lowering springs? Any thinner shims?

I didn't remove any shims, just installed the springs. The SLS arm between the torsion bar and the hydraulic mechanism broke. The pivots go to hell so I just have it strapped up right now. (Check my thread "all jacked up") So the SLS isn't actually working right now.

The rear rims have spacers on there, not sure how much though. The tires have a SUPER low profile but amazingly enough, the ride isn't as bad as you'd think. My Mustang SVO with stock wheels/tires are rougher than these.

I have to agree with the others. Too many things wrong with that set (wrong offset, wrong PCD, wrong size tire, wrong tire rating, etc)

pack those up and resell it. Im sure you would find a better (i.e. cheaper) set locally

I just wanted to update this...
I never ended up putting the rims on the car as I was debating to sell them or get spacers.

Well I ended up selling the rims to a guy who had a 350z Nismo and fit on perfect(made a bit extra money out of the deal), although the tires when we went for a test drive were way too noise IMO.

In the process, I purchased my friends OEM staggered RIMS from his 2001 S500 AMG (He bought 19's newer AMG rims) Here are some pictures of the first rims never put on, My friends w220 with the amg rims & The w140 with his rims on.
