I have a 98 S320 with ASR therefore I have a Drive by wire actuated throttle body (no linkage directly at throttle body).

I had expected that the throttle body butterfly would fully open using the accelerator pedal to the floor with key on and energized but this did not happen it only opened approximately 3/16 inch.

Could someone explain how to fully open throttle body butterfly
Could someone explain why this did not happen using accelerator pedal to the floor and energized.

Thanks.

My understanding seems to be correct according to the video below therefore the butterfly valve should have fully open via the energized accelerator pedal (throttle position sensor) I am puzzled.
