The License plate frame on it is "Beverly Hills Ltd" the Benz dealer in BH, I would rather ride in that than the "vomit comet" Crown Victoria cars for sure.

Unless the Airconditioning was broken in the W140

Have you ever been to Europe?

I actually travel to Europe on business 8 or 9 times a year, most recently in Feb. Lots of late model E and S class taxis there, of course, but the first time I have ever seen one here in the USA. After I snapped that photo, I went downstairs and hopped in a crappy run down crown vic with one of those police car barriers taking up all the leg room. Luckily my hotel was nearby.

This Taxi Taxi company is based out of the Santa Monica area - they have an entire fleet of older Mercedes. The good news for us owners is that money of their cars have over 300k on the odometer and are still running strong. Routing maintenance can result in some serious miles.
