Black soot=unburnt fuel so this guy messed with his fuel delivery system (injectors, and pump)Very cool videos. Two questions:
(1) In the first video, the W123 is blowing ALOT of black and white smoke. Isn't that a really bad sign of engine problems?
(2) In Tucson, I constantly see W123s AND those damn Volvo look-alikes. What is the story behind that? Did Volvo copy the MB design? The body panels and rear look remarkably similar. 200 feet away, I can't be sure if I'm looking at a W123 or Volvo.
Very diesel. The thick black smoke didn't give it away? 6000rpm is nothing, the Finns have been getting them up to 7000rpm reliably in drag races.Surely that ain't no diesel, no freakin way...
Prove me wrong otherwise, but that motor is turning at at least 6000 rpm.
