As many members of this site... when you found out ur slk was on a boat on the way.. i bet you smiled soo hard it hurt..

Well. I called my dealer and found out that my baby is on a boat on the way to australia.

The boat is called "Electra" i think. and will dock on the 18th May.

Does anyone know if this ship can be tracked at all?

Thankx

There are at least three major carriers that Mercedes uses and I think only one of them has trackable information on a website, based on the VIN (Vehicle Identidication Number). try a search through the forum; I remember several postings and even participating...[)]

Start with scrolling down this past post:

RE: just moving my post to the top

G'day da_nailgun,

Pleased to hear it is on the way. Don't know about tracking the ship, I do know it won't make the ship get here any faster.

Once it arrives it seems to sit around the docks for some days being processed through customs etc. I was told to allow about 10 days and mine took about 7 days to arrive at the dealers, then a couple more days for pre-delivery prep.

It won't be long, good luck.
