Just curious if the timing cover from an OM602 (2.5 turbo) works with the OM603 (3.0)?

There is a car there with the 2.5 and everything in the way of the cover is off except the crank pulley. Plus the yard only charged $5 for a timing chain/belt cover

Confirmed it yesterday with gsxr. Its going to be a pain to remove the crank bolt since the transmission is no longer in place and the injectors and glow plugs are gone. I wish the prechambers were missing so I could feed some rope into the cylinder head

Is the flex plate still bolted to the crank? If so, then you can wedge something into the teeth to keep the crank from moving.
