Hi,

I bought a 32 ft boat with an OM312 engine bloc (S/N begins with 321...). When I took the engine apart, I found out that the injection pump, cilinder head and injectors are from an OM352.

The injection pressure for new injectors on an OM312 = 130-140 bar. For an OM352 = 200 bar. What injection pressure should be adjust: 130-140 or 200 bar?

Thnx
Arwes

I don't claim to know ANYTHING about a OM312 motor, but if the injectors, IP and head are from a OM352 (and it was running at some time), I would imagine you'd want to use 352 specs....

These injectors use a spring loaded pintle arrangement and are set to open with a certain amount of fuel pressure. If they really are OM352 injectors and the spec is 200 bar, 130-140 bar probably won't "fire" them properly.

Warning: I have no data to back up my claim :)
