I went to have a look around the wrecking yard late PM, and to my surprise found a 500SE with three wheels marked RS908016511, 8J x 16, Et 11, Lk 112, made in Germany, and what looked like ARC (?).
The chrome is good, and they have no curb rash.
A good clean up and polishing followed by clear coat should make them look like new.
For 2 years I had been looking to replace 2 dinged wheels of my Lorinser set with the exact same numbers, but had been unable to find the same 11 offset wheels until today.
I had dinged one wheel, and actually broken the other on a pot hole.
Even after a costly repair and good re chrome the wheel never felt right.
The original set with the Lorinser logo are stamped Lorinser by Ronal on the inside of one of the spokes.
These wheels are identical, except for the missing Lorinser logo.
I'll clean them up tomorrow and have a closer look at the markings.
I really like the 11 offset on the W126, and this find sure made my day.
The price for all 3 was only $ 101.
Cheers

Great find. :)

......and now you even have a spare for the next time you have an unfriendly encounter with physical proof of the municpality's incompetent road maintenance crew. :D

No, this was Sun Valley. I am familiar with the Ecology yard on Imperial, Maria used to be the Mgr. They used to have a good yard off the 60 Fwy near Boyle Heights.
I know just about every yard from Chula Vista to Fresno, no kidding.
Cheers

Here are the original Lorinser wheels (logo on spoke) with the exact same numbers, marked Lorinser by Ronal.

A buddy has a chroming set up in his business, it wouldn't cost me too much to have the three latest wheels properly re chromed.
I like the Et 11 better than the set of Lorinser 8x16, Et 22's (I got 6 wheels offset 22, see pic).

I have those wheels! Check the stickied picture thread. There has been some pitting over the years.. but its nothing some 0000 steel wool and chrome polish can't handle.

Yesterday, I missed a set of mint staggered AMG 8 1/2 and 10's with good tires off a 500SE, by an hour or so.
They were 18.'s though.
Well, snooze you loose.
