If we hadnt been traded One 1988 4.20 SEL from it original owner,(our vet btw) basically a gift. W126 My girl and I may never have known what most if not all Mercedes owners know- and can't be described to a person. Wow. 55K to 60K in 1988 well. The car has half a million miles. We got a solid year before the timing chain went.....
I was paying attention to it. In fact, I have a 91 with half the miles. in great condition. Anyway- I need an engine. And if I pull the 91. It WILL get a new chain, tensioner e.t.c.
We had thought the car had significantly less miles on it, otherwise we would have walked. It's bent no less than 4 valves according to a few 'Specialists'. I do like
The guy up North West. Bergsman. I actually watched a video that showed me something and it was free...
Im washing the car now. Pics are coming. We live in the Chico Paradise area of California. 48 years here. 60+ Blood relatives live(d) up in Paradise. They lost
everything. Its okay. Everyone of my family made it out safe.
We lost a really cool Mercedes Shop and Mechanic. (Hes ok) But hes retiring maybe.
