I was having problems with my windshield washer. I replaced some old brittle hoses, installed a new one way splitters, and re-aimed the nozzles and everything was working great. So the other day, my windshield was dirty, I turned on the windshield washer feature, and everything was fine, until water starting coming out dirty and eventually, tricking out all over the hood. I took a look under the hood today, and this is what I found. Now how in the world do I fix this?

Replace the spray nozzles.

Either get some at a junk yard
or buy some new ones at the dealer.

Or get them here:

As a temporary fix you could glue them but make sure you put a small straw inside to prevent the glue from clogging them in the first place. Any glue for plastics would work. Clean them first. And while you're cleaning them, you might also want to clean the hoses since you mentioned dirty water squirting about--may have gotten in the hoses too.

Aha! The real problem is that you used Houston tap water - it will do that every time. Try distilled water and also replace those spray nozzles...[^]
I always use that blue stuff from the local Target or "Sprawl Mart." After I get this issue fixed, I'll be replacing all the old hose with new hoses, to ensure everything is nice and clear.

Ok, I got the replacement nozzle, and put it in, BUT, as I was replacing the hose that runs from the washer fluid reservoir to the splitter, the 20+ year old rubber had hardened on the part that connects up to the reservoir. So, my pulling force caused the plastic part to break off into the old hose. So now, I will have to get a new pump and grommet, which are cheap luckily.
