99 SLK 230.....when I start it literally pumps oils out of the engine on to the ground...it is on the Supercharger side. It started with the few drips on my garage floor and got progressively worse....until it is now pumping oil when running...it is losing no oil when engine is off.

No I can not drive it right now......pulled the air filter box and hoses off to see if I could see anything obvious....nothing.

Anyone ever seen this ?????

Thanks,

Rick

So...after further examination I discovered the timing chain tensioner bolt is just about all the way out....how this loosened up is beyond me...I have had the car for 6 years....no issues.

What is the torque on this bolt ?

Thanks,

Rick

ive done this with other cars where the seal has failed. i just loosen the bolt and sillicone the threads and tighten it up. saves taking the tensioner out and doing the O ring.

see attached docs
