Hello guys, Im working on a 06'C230 sport and noticed oil leaking down from what looks like a black "plug" on the passenger side head burning off onto the exhaust. I went over and checked the drivers side and it to has this black "plug" and it too is leaking. Any idea what this "plug" might be? Thanks again guys!

I HAVE THE SAME CAR AND HAD A LEAK ON THE PASS SIDE. TURNED OUT TO BE THE BIG BLACK COVER YOU SEE AT THE BACK OF THE PASS SIDE VALVE COVER PART #2720100231 $50. COMES WITH THE GASKET ATTACHED TO IT. THE BLACK COVERS YOU ARE LOOKING AT ARE CAMSHAFT SEALS. INSIDE THEM IS AN O-RING THAT WEARS OUT PART #0169975045. DEALER ITEM ONLY. ABOUT $10 EACH AND EASY TO REPLACE AT HOME. HOPE THIS HELPS.
