would like to do my own oil change. What size oil filter wrench do I need for the straight
6 sl320 (1997). I've read on this forum, I can draw motor oil thru the dipstick tube rather than remove the drain bolt on the oil pan. Any opinion on that ?? THANKS

I've done both, and will just make a couple of points. Unless you own your own lift, anything that means you don't have to climb under a supported SL has got to be good for your health. Against that, sucking the oil through the dipstick is probably not as efficient as a conventional drain in getting all the crud out, and it's a bit slow. The only problem I had was that you need the oil nice and hot, and my (plastic) pipe kept collapsing under the suck, if you'll pardon the expression ;) so try and get a metal probe. At the end of the day, ANY oil change is better than NO oil change.....
