Hi--

I solved my hot start problems on my '95 E320 with a new fuel pressure regulator. I was talking with someone and he told me that I should change the oil because a faulty fuel pressure regulator can cause gasoline to end up being sucked into the crankcase oil and diluting the oil's lubricating properties. I just changed my oil about 400 miles ago and I'd hate to waste changing oil for no reason. Should I change my oil? The vacuum line on the fuel pressure regulator definitely smelled like gasoline, so I'm sure that there was gas in the vacuum line.

any help/advice would be appreciated

While I was going to school one of our teachers suggested pulling the dipstick out and applying a lighter. One of two results; a quick flash or nothing.

You are in the wrong forum, You need the W210 forum not the W124.
