Hello to All-

We have the Common SRS light problem,
We have the Passengers Seat Out of the Car,
We have Tested the Wires from the Yellow Plug,
Up to the point of going into the seat.....
All wires are Well....!!!

If we test the White Wire to the Red Wire we get 1.8 ohm Resistance,
If we test the White Wire to the Brown Wire we get 1.9 ohm Resistance,

Does this tell us that the Pressure Seat Sensor is Good or Bad...!!!

Looking for some Info before we buy the replacement part.... Thank You!!

Assuming it's all resistance, no semiconductor in the seat circuitry.
If there are 3 wires (1,2,3) to the seat sensor, you need to 6 measurements.
Seat unoccupied, resistance: wire 1 to wire 2, wire 1 to wire 3, wire 2 to wire 3.
Seat occupied, resistance: wire 1 to wire 2, wire 1 to wire 3, wire 2 to wire 3.
Compare the 6 measurements with measurements from a seat of any car that does not have SRS/airbag light problem.

But I was looking for a Base ohm reading,
I do Not have access to any other Seat....

If you are checking for a broken wire, I believe a good approach would be to switch the meter to the continuity setting----do you get a beep or no beep.....

Without the other sear, some measurements should change between (seat unoccupied, resistances) and (seat occupied, resistances). Can you sit in the seat to measure?
I tend to think that their design involved some double contacts (a short, an open) for unoccupied seat then change to the opposite (open, short) for occupied seat.
